
EMILY ROSEMOND OLY

Emily is an Olympic athlete and world-level medallist in winter and summer sports and an award-winning innovator. Her commercial and business experience is underpinned by leadership in sports coaching, high-performance directorship, major event management, educational leadership and technology.
Emily Rosemond is a Director, Consultant, a Winter Olympian, and a Commonwealth Games Medallist with over 20 years in high-performance sports. She has extensive experience in international coaching, high-performance directorship, major event management, sports technology, and team leadership.
Emily’s sporting career began on ice, representing Australia at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy, in Short Track Speed Skating at 19 years of age. Despite an Anterior Cruciate Ligament rupture before the Olympic qualification trials in 2005, she met qualification standards and competed in the 1000m and 1500m at the Torino Olympics. Emily then transitioned to track cycling, joining the high-performance cycling program and competing for Australia between 2008 and 2012. She achieved multiple World Cup medals, highlighted by a medal in the Sprint at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. After retiring, she undertook coaching and development roles in Queensland-based sports to improve grassroots pathways and enhance athlete wellbeing in nationally categorised sports. She then transitioned into major events management and business development.
Named one of Australia’s top 100 innovators in sports technology in 2023 and holding the Keys to the City of Brisbane, Emily is a global sports technology award judge with the UK-based STA group, a consultant, a presenter at the Australian Institute of Sport, and an international speaker. Her global engagements include speaking to corporate groups in South-East Asia and abroad on innovation in sports technology and its applications in various industries.
She has broad experience in various administrative roles within small private businesses, not-for-profit groups, and government organisations. Her positions have included Executive, Manager, Consultant, Coordinator, and internal roles in higher education, health, Olympic sport, journalism, coaching, marketing, and wellbeing.
Emily has held several positions on committees and boards and is currently a Board Member of the Queensland Games Foundation, Non-Executive Director for the Track Cycling Academy, a global speaker, consultant and presenter for the Australian Institute of Sport.
